Howard E. Siefer

Howard E. Siefer, 84, of Bremen, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2007, at the Community Hospital of Bremen. He was born on August 5, 1922, in St. Joseph County, Indiana, to Otho M. & Nellie E. (Hochstetler) Siefer.

On March 26, 1942, he married Ellen J. (Kiefer); she survives.

A Farmer, Howard graduated from Lakeville High School and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bremen. He was also a recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash from Governor Otis R. Bowen.

Survivors include His Wife: Ellen of Bremen, 1 Daughter: Judy (Larry) Skupien of Mt. Horeb, WI, 1 Son: John Siefer of Bloomingdale, IL, 3 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 Son: Bill Siefer, 1 Sister: Evelyn Coffel, 1 Grandson: Bradley Siefer.

Services will be held Thursday, April 12, 2007, at 10:30AM, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 605 S. Center Street in Bremen. Pastor Roger Rohde and Pastor Neil Wonnacott will officiate. Burial will be at the Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8PM on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen.
