F. Lucile Leer, 88, of Ligonier, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2007, at her residence. She was born on September 10, 1918, in Benton Township, in Elkhart County, to Charles F. & Blanche (Bobeck) Hinderer.
On September 10, 1938, she married Wilbur John Dukes, he preceded on March 9, 1945. In 1971, she married Clayton Leer, he preceded in 1978.
A lifetime area resident, Lucile was a homemaker. She was a member of the Richville United Methodist Church in Ligonier where she served as President of the United Methodist Women's Club; she was a past Sunday School Teacher and former Board Member. Lucile attended Ligonier High School.
Survivors include 1 Daughter: Karen Sue Richendollar of Ligonier, 1 Step-Daughter: Doris (Herb) Graeber of Three Rivers, MI, 4 Grandsons: John 'Brett' (Brenda) Richendollar of Ligonier, James Scott Richendollar of Ligonier, Jeffrey Todd Richendollar of Millersburg, and Justin Noll of Syracuse, 4 Step-Grandchildren: Terry Wuthrich of Constantine, MI, Sherrie Wuthrich of Bristol, April Sylvester of Constantine, MI, and Scott Chrispyn of Goshen, 3 Great Grandchildren: Jeffrey Tyler, Hannah and Hailey and 8 step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Wilbur John Dukes, her husband Clayton Leer, her parents and 1 Step-Grandson: Jeremy Chrispyn.
Services will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at 10:30AM, at the Richville United Methodist Church, 11009 County Road 50, Ligonier, IN 46767. Rev Jean Ness and Rev. Omer Nisley will officiate. Burial will be at the Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier. Friends may call on Tuesday, April 24, 2007, from 2-8PM at the Richville United Methodist Church in Ligonier.
