Howard "Hop" Haab, 89, of Milford, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2007 at Lakeland Rehabilitation & Healthcare in Milford. He was born April 20, 1918 to Fred O. and Mary M. (Hartter) Haab.
He married Joan Clem on August 21, 1948, who preceded him in death in 1980. He then married Jane Schultz on June 25, 1983, she preceded him in death in 2004.
He was a lifelong Milford resident.
Howard was retired from the U.S. Army and was a WWII veteran. He ran the Milford Dairy for 8 years. He was a Milford school bus driver for 40 years, retiring in 1987.
Howard was a member of American Legion Post 223, the Moose lodge in Ft. Meyers Beach, FL, the VFW of Syracuse, Member ROTC and Acacia fraternity at Indiana University.
Survivors include son Dana Haab of Mentone, Willam Haab of Milford, 3 granddaughters, 1 grandson, and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by son Jay, daughter Susie, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the Milford Cemetery with full military service, and will be officiated by Rev. Jesse Beer.
There will be no visitation.
