David L. Payne

David L. Payne, age 78, of North Webster, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Mason Health Care and Rehabilitation in Warsaw. He was born December 26, 1929 in Warsaw, IN to Chester & Hannah (Weimer) Payne.
He married Margaret Marsh on September 12, 1970, she survives.

David retired from Syracuse Rubber after 43 years of service. He served his country in the US Army from 1950-1953 during the Korean War. He was a volunteer fireman with the North Webster Fire Department for over 31 years and he was a member of the North Webster Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife Margaret of North Webster, 3 Step-Sons: Mike Smith of Cromwell, Roger Smith of Elkhart, Doug Smith of North Webster, 2 Step-Daughters: Vicki (Vince) Hamada of Valparaiso, IN and Terri (Eric) Bartman of Cromwell, 8 Grandchildren, 2 Step Great-Grandchildren, 2 Brothers: Phil Payne of North Webster and Jim Payne of Satellite Beach, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held Sunday, June 10, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel in Syracuse. Full Military Rites from the American Legion Post #253 of North Webster. Burial will follow in North Webster Cemetery.

Friends may call on Sunday, June 10, 2007 from 12:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the North Webster Fire Department.
