Esther (Huber) Meister, 82, of Bremen, passed away at 6:35PM, Saturday, June 9, 2007 at St. Joseph Regional Med Center, South Bend. She was born March 5, 1925 to Henry and Alva (Hunsberger) Huber.
She married Roy Meister who preceded her in death in 1993.
Esther was a 1943 graduate of Bremen High School, was affiliated with Bremen Bible Church, was an avid bowler and participated in leagues in Nappanee for many years. She was a homemaker and worked for Memcor, G & N Grocery Store and also worked at a factory in South Bend during the war.
She is survived by her 4 daughters Sharon and Lyle Staffen of Angola, Tina and Larry Shutske of Bremen, Shirley and Ted Conrad of South Bend, and Terri and Bob Steffen of Charlotte, NC, 2 sons Ron and Barb Meister of Mishawaka and Bryan and Stacy Meister of Marshall, MI, 3 grandsons Nathan Wood of Indianapolis, Joseph Conrad of South Bend, Nicholas Meister of Marshall, MI, 5 granddaughters Rachel and Anthony Kauffman of Nappanee, Sarah and Roger Shepherd of Nappanee, Hedde Meister of South Bend, Kellie Conrad of South Bend, Olivia Meister of Marshall, MI, 1 brother Kenny and Bethel Huber of Bremen, 1 sister Marlene and Rich Hepler of Apache Junction, AZ and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy, 1 brother Ed Huber, 2 sisters Eleanor Ray and Mary Ellen Huber.
The funeral service will be 10:00AM Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen and will be officiated by Pastor Larry Shutske. Burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4PM and from 6-8PM on Tuesday, June 12th at the funeral home.
