Herbert Stump

Herbert A. Stump, 89, of Milford, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at his residence in Milford. Herbert was born on January 16, 1918 in New Paris, IN to Orbe & Neva (Jones) Stump.
On November 23, 1952 he married Leatha Clariece Kasper, she survives.

Herbert was a lifetime area resident. He retired from the US Postal Service after 36 years of service. He was a United States Army Air Force Veteran, serving his country in WWII. He was a member of Milford First Brethren Church, he was a 1936 Graduate of New Paris High School, and he was a member of the Milford American Legion and the Kosciusko Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his Wife: Leatha Clariece Stump of Milford, 2 Daughters: Teresa (Todd) Barrows of Nappanee, Tracy (Rick) Miller of Shipshewana, 2 Sons: Timothy (Carolyn) Stump of Noblesville, Terry Stump of Milford, 2 Brothers: Richard (Mary) Stump of Paw Paw, MI, Louis (Mary) Stump of New Paris, 12 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Milford First Brethren Church, 110 W. Catherine St., Milford, IN. Pastor Billy Hesketh will officiate. Burial will take place in New Paris Cemetery with full Military Rites.

Friends may call on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 from 2-8 P.M. at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford.
