Donald W. Kornack

Donald W. Kornack, 76, of Bremen, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2007, at 9:00 AM, at the Community Hospital of Bremen. He was born on August 10, 1930, in Springfield, IL, to George & Edna (Siebert) Kornack.

He married to Jean Brollier on May 4, 1963. She survives.

A Financial Manager with A&M General, Donald was a Member First United Church of Christ in Bremen. He served in the US Naval Reserve and was then drafted to the US Army. He served his country with the Occupation Troops in Germany during WWII. Donald graduated from Trinity Lutheran High School in Springfield in 1948 and from Valparaiso University, as well.


Survivors include his wife, Jean, 1 son: Scott E. Kornack of Frisco, TX, 1 daughter: Debra (Harlan) Kauffman of Indianapolis, and 2 grandchildren: Sydney and Hayden Kauffman. He was preceded in death by: his parents and 2 brothers.

Services will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2007, at 10:30 AM at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Pastor Susan Sickelka will officiate. Burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 – 8PM on Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Community Hospital of Bremen.
