Edna L. Yoder Troyer

Edna L. Yoder Troyer, 82, of Topeka, IN, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2007, at her residence. She was born in Sumner County, Kansas, on July 21, 1925, to Levi M. & Gertrude (Yoder) Yoder.

On November 25, 1943, she married Orla Troyer; he preceded her in death on December 1, 2004.

A Topeka resident since she was 11 years old, Edna came from Kansas and was a member of the Old Order Amish.

Survivors include 7 Daughters: Irene (Mel) Mullet of Topeka, Mary Ellen (Freeman) Bontrager of Lagrange, Polly Anna (Everett) Yoder of Bell Center, Ohio, Gertie Troyer of Topeka, Fanny Marie (Philip) Wagler of Freemont, MI, Amanda Sue (Samuel R.) Yoder of Lagrange, Edna Mae (David Jr.) Schlabaugh of Clare, MI; 5 Sons: Glenn (Vera) Troyer of Ligonier, Leroy (Anna Marie) Troyer of Lagrange, Howard (Barb) Troyer of Ligonier, Maynard (Vera) Troyer of Topeka, Floyd (Mary Ellen) Troyer of Chouteau, Oklahoma; 64 Grandchildren; 20 Step-Grandchildren; 143 Great Grandchildren; 43 Step Great Grandchildren; 4 Brothers: Alvin Yoder of Millersburg, Sam Yoder of Goshen, William Yoder of Goshen, Lee Yoder of Thailand; 3 Sisters: Gertie Christner of Wolcottville, Mary Miller of Goshen, Sara Miller of Goshen; 1 Uncle: David Perry Yoder of Plain City, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her Husband; Father; Mother; 3 infant sons: Wilber, Orla, Jr., and Freeman; 2 sisters: Polly Mast and Anna Troyer; 2 son-in-laws: Abner Stoll and Enos Eicher.

Services will be held on Monday, August 27, 2007, at 9:30AM at the Maynard O. Troyer Residence, 7095 W 650 S, Topeka, IN. Bishop Ernest E. Bontrager will officiate. Burial will be at the Hawpatch Cemetery in Topeka. Friends may call after 2PM on Saturday, August 25 and all day on Sunday, August 26, 2007, at the Maynard O. Troyer residence.
