James L. Close

James L. Close, 55 of the Barbee Lake area, died on August 28, 2007 at 7:50 P.M. at his residence. He was born on December 26, 1951, in Marietta, Ohio, to Lewis & Mary (Miller) Close.

On April 17, 1976, he married Lura "Jeannine" Wallace. She survives.

James moved to the Barbee Lake area in 1985, coming from Malta, Ohio. He worked at Midwest Roll Form in Pierceton for 10 years and had also worked as an electrician. James served his country from 1969-1973, during Vietnam in the U.S.A.F. and was a member of the American Legion Post #253 in North Webster.

Survivors include his Wife, 2 Daughters: Jamie Close of Leesburg, Janet (Patrick) Buchanan of Warsaw, 3 Grandchildren: Jace of Warsaw, Jeremy & Demi of Leesburg, 2 Brothers: Galen Close of North Webster, Melvin Close of North Carolina, 1 Sister: Vicki (Clyde) McDonald of West Virginia, His Father: Lewis Close of Marietta, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his Mother.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2007, at 4:00PM, at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 1-4PM, prior to services.
