Marjorie Faye Rogers

Marjorie Faye Rogers, 83 of Syracuse, Indiana passed away August 30, 2007 at 3:40 P.M. at Goshen General Hospital. She was born January 3, 1924 to Rev. W. O. Power & Ethel (Kennedy) Power in McCordsville, IN. September 19, 1942 she married Edwin F. "Ted" Rogers, who survives her. From 1946 - 1971 she was a partner of Rogers Radio and TV in Huntington, Indiana. In 1971 they moved to Syracuse and started Rogers Electro-Matics where she was Secretary / Treasurer until they sold that business and retired in 1993.


She was a lifetime member of the Methodist Church, the VFW Ladies Aux. and the American Legion Ladies Aux.. She was a 1942 Graduate of Ridgeville High School.


Survivors include her husband: Edwin F. 'Ted' Rogers of Syracuse, 1 Daughter: Carolyn (Tony) Johnson of Minneapolis, MN, 2 Grandchildren: Marni (Doug) Nagy of Trabuco Canyon, CA and Ronnald Johnson of San Jose, CA, 1 Great Grandchild: Allison Nagy, 1 Sister: Mary Frances Ferguson of Hayfork, CA.


She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 Son: Ronald Edwin Rogers (Vietnam 1970), 1 Sister: Ethel Mae Franklin and 1 Brother: Lowell O. Power.


Services will be at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, September 6, 2007 at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel in Syracuse, with (Grand Nephew) Rev. Michael Rogers officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3:00PM Thursday in Lawndale Cemetery, Ridgeville, Indiana.


Calling is from 2-8 P.M. Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at the funeral home.
