Colleen M. Mitting

Colleen M. Mitting, 48, of Syracuse, passed away at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne on Saturday, October 13, 2007. She was born on October 12, 1959, in Minneapolis, MN, to Warren & Mary (Mahoney) Halverson.

On December 19, 1978, she married Mike Mitting; he survives.

Colleen moved to Lake Wawasee in 1996, coming from Wabash. She was a dedicated homemaker and had owned & operated, with her husband, Mitting's Flowers & Greenhouses in Wabash from 1986-1996. Colleen enjoyed boating, crossword puzzles, reading & caring for her pets. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her husband, daughter, and son-in-law, whom she loved dearly and were her best friends.

Survivors include her Husband: Mike Mitting of Syracuse, 1 Daughter: Lisa (Andrew) Bevelhimer of Syracuse, her Mother: Mary Halverson of Wabash, 5 Brothers: Jamie Halverson, Bill Halverson, David Halverson, John Halverson, Gary Halverson, all of Wabash, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Father, 1 Brother: Paul Halverson & 1 Sister: Laurie Baily.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2007, at 3:00PM, at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, in Syracuse. Pastor Brad Cox will officiate. Friends may call from 1-3PM on Thursday, October 18, 2007.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County.
