Detmer O. Stair

Detmer O. Stair, 78, of Syracuse, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2007, at 5:30PM at Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse. He was born on October 7, 1929, in Marion, IN, to Detmer & Rachel (Leitch) Stair.

A lifetime area resident, Detmer was a painter for several years. He served in the US Air Force for 13 years, from 1948-1961. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster and the VFW Post 1342 in Syracuse and was also a member of the DAV.

Survivors include 1 Granddaughter: Brittney. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at North Webster Mock Cemetery with Chaplain Tom Everett of Warsaw American Legion Post 49 officiating. North Webster American Legion Post 253 will conduct military rites.
