Marvel Zimmerman

Marvel M. Zimmerman, 94, of Bremen, passed away at Bremen Health Care Center on Saturday, November 17, 2007, at 2:45 PM. She was born on October 27, 1913, in Beloit, WI, to Earl & Mildred (McMahon) Lyons.

On June 2, 1930 she married Jay M. Mead, he preceded in 1945. On April 8, 1967 she married Ralph Harbaugh, he preceded in 1992. On January 7, 1995 she married Doyle 'Red' Zimmerman, he survives.

Marvel moved to Bremen in 1977 from North Liberty. She was a member of Community Baptist Church in South Bend and she was a cook at the University of Notre Dame infirmary.

(Rose) Mead of Mishawaka, 2 Step-Daughters: Phyllis (Ed) VanKirk of Constantine, MI, Ruby Rajski of Mishawaka, 2 Step-Sons: Wayne Harbaugh of North Liberty, Robert (Joanne) Zimmerman of Sturgis, MI, 15 Grandchildren: Jaylynn Victory of Florence, AL, Becky (Paul) Morse of Granger, Robert (Denise) Mead of Niles, MI, Sheri Paul of South Bend, George (Diana) Mead, Jr. of New Carlisle, David (Lisa) Mead of Bridgeman, MI, Bobbie Jo (Duane) Keeton of Miles, MI, Cheryl (John) Norris of Koontz Lake, Guy Mead of Mishawaka, Debra (John) Wagner of Thorntown, IN DeWayne (Donna) Creighton, Jr. of Bremen, Kelly (Dennis) Sienicki of Middlebury, Jason (Michelle) Creighton of Zionsville, Candace (Brian) Weil of Mishawaka, Beth Ann (Monty) Donathen of Mishawaka, 30 Great Grandchildren, and several Great Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jay and husband Ralph, 2 sons: Robert and George, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

Services will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at 10:00 AM at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call from 5-8PM, Tuesday, November 20, 2007 and 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
