Kenneth "Kenny" L. Rollins, 70, of Cromwell, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at 8:10PM at Avalon Village Nursing Home in Ligonier, IN. He was born on July 9, 1937, in Huntertown, Indiana (Allen County, to Ernest & Adah (Reed) Rollins.
A lifetime area resident, Kenny was self employed as a Construction worker, worked as a mechanic with Monsanto in Ligonier and set burial vaults with Charlie Michaels. He was raised in the Methodist Church, a member of the VFW Post #4717 Wolf Lake, American Legion of Ligonier Post #243. He was a Graduate of Cromwell High School. Kenny loved golf, bowling, fishing, NASCAR, IU Basketball, the Chicago Cubs and was a people person. He served his country in the US Air Force.
Survivors include 2 Brothers: Herman (Gail) Rollins of Goshen and Eugene (Beverly) Rollins of Syracuse, 1 Sister: Irene Fisher of Cromwell, 1 Daughter, Tammy, of Syracuse. He was preceded in death by his Parents, 2 Brothers: James Rollins and Clyde Rollins, 2 Sisters: Alma Rollins and Juanita Felts.
Services will be held Friday, December 14, 2007, 1PM, at Knepper's Reception Hall, 6511 W. Cromwell Road, Kimmell, IN 46760. Pastor Don Poyser will officiate. Full Military Rites will be held at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell. Friends may call beginning at 10AM-1PM, prior to services on Friday at Knepper's Reception Hall.
