Edwin D. Harting

Edwin D. Harting, 72, of Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at Goshen General Hospital. He was born on August 19, 1935, in Noble Township, IN, to Owen C. & Virginia (Stewart) Harting.

On August 21, 1959, he married Myrna Harper; she survives.

Edwin was a 42 year resident of Syracuse, coming from Huntington and Wolf Lake. He was a Barber since 1953 and Owner of Ed's Village Barber Shop since 1965. He was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church in Cromwell. Edwin was a Charter member and Past President of Stones Trace Regulators Muzzelloading Rifle Club and a Member of the Masonic Lodge 714 in Cromwell

Survivors include his Wife of Syracuse, 1 Daughter: Shelly (Craig) Ladwig, 1 Son: Bill (Olivia) Harting of Grand Rapids, MI and 3 Grandchildren: Matthew, Timothy and Elizabeth Ladwig. He was preceded in death by his sister: Nancy L. Hauser.

Services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2007, at 10:00AM at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse. Sister Elsie Fregeau and Rev. Ken Robinson will officiate. Burial will be at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, IN. Friends may call from 3-8PM Friday, December 21, 2007, at the funeral home.
