Betty Jane Gerard

Betty Jane Gerard, 86, of Syracuse, IN, passed away on
January 6, 2008, at 1:50AM at
Lutheran Hospital of Ft. Wayne. She was born on June 20, 1921, in Phillips, WI, to Albert & Anna (Schleicker) Tenut.

In 1941, she married William Gerard. He preceded her in death Aug. 6, 1989.

Betty moved to Plymouth in 1952 from Chicago, moving to Syracuse in 1995, and was a Homemaker. She was a charter member of Shepherd by the Lakes Lutheran Church in Syracuse, formerly a member of Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth. She was also active in the Syracuse Senior Center.

Survivors include 2 Sons: Gerald “Jerry” (Gloria) Gerard of Goshen, Gary (Mary) Gerard of Syracuse, 1 Sister: Lena Jackson of Evanston, IL, 2 Grandchildren: Evan and Braedon Gerard of Syraucse, 4 Step Grandchildren: Scott Green, Deb Wheeler, Cindy Matuska and Shane Green, 13 Step Great Grandchildren. She was
preceded by Her Husband William, 1 Sister and 3 Brothers.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2008, at 10:30AM at Shepherd by the Lakes Lutheran Church, 7449 E 1000 N, Syracuse, IN 46567. Pastor Jerry Winegarden will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth. Friends may call from 5-8PM Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel in Syracuse, and 1 hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
