Lawrence Lee Hartter, 98 of Rochester Hills, Michigan passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2008 in Rochester Hills, Michigan of natural causes.
He was born February 1, 1910 in Milford, Indiana to William and Lydia (Rassi) Hartter. On May 1, 1938, he married Helen Louise Gerber of Fort Wayne. She preceded him in death on November 27, 2004.

A South Bend resident for 65 years before moving to Rochester Hills, he was a founding member of Community Gospel Church, Bremen. Lawrence graduated from Milford High School in 1928. He retired from Bendix Corporation automotive brake division as an engineering technician, test driver and test group supervisor.

Survivors include 3 sons: Larry (Ruth) Hartter of Rochester Hills, MI, Leon Hartter of Midland, TX and Alan (Susan) Hartter of Royal Oak, Michigan; 7 grand children: Katherine, Chad, Marc, Michael (Angel), Joel (Rachel), David (Christine), and Stephen; and 3 great grand children: Brianna, Franc, and Jude.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and 4 brothers.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Fanning and burial will take place at the Milford Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 -8 PM on Friday, February 15, 2008 and one hour before the service at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen.

Memorials contributions may be made to the Community Gospel Church in Bremen or to the Gideons.
