Robert Lee Goodyear

Robert Goodyear, 81, of Warsaw (Barbee Lakes) passed away Monday, March 3, 2008, at his residence. He was born on February 17, 1927, in Dunkirk, IN, to Harold & Leona (Clouse) Goodyear.

On June 10, 1948, he married Erika Barlben. She survives.

Robert was an area resident, since 1964, when he came from Muncie, IN. He was a Carpenter and Millwright. Robert was also a member of the Local Union #1029. He was a US Army Veteran, a member of the North Webster American Legion Post #253 and the Barbee Lakes Conservation Club.

Survivors include his Wife, 2 Daughters: Peggy Lenfestey of Warsaw, Robin (Rick) Shafer of Warsaw, 2 Grandchildren: Mark (Karen) Lenfestey of Ft. Wayne, Matthew Lenfestey of Warsaw, Vanessa Shafer and Colin Shafer, both of Warsaw, 1 Great Granddaughter: Amanda Lenfestey of Ft. Wayne, 1 Nephew: Harold Goodyear of Bristolville, OH, and his 4 legged companion: Daisy. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 granddaughter.

Services will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at 3:00PM, at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel in Syracuse. Burial will be private at a later date. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Military Honors will be conducted by the North Webster American Legion.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Welfare League or Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund.
