Helen I. Weber

Helen I. Weber, 94, of Woodland, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2008 at the Bremen Health Care Center in the early morning hours.
She was born on January 15, 1914, in Lakeville, IN, to Donald & Retta Ranstead.

She married Ernest Weber on July 28, 1933. He preceded her in death in April of 1994.

Helen lived in Bremen, but was formerly of Woodland, a lifetime area resident. She graduated from Lakeville High School in 1932. She was a Member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Woodland. Helen was involved with the quilting group at the church. She loved quilting, knitting and various crafts.

Survivors include 1 Daughter: Millie Goff of Wakarusa, 1 Grandson: Jimmy (Rita) Goff of Wakarusa, 1 Granddaughter: Terri (Charlie) Colbourne of Carmel, 2 Great-Grandchildren: Mary and Noah Goff. She was preceded by: Her husband, 2 Brothers: Jim Ranstead & Orvill Birk, 3 Sisters: Rema Schalliol, Sybil Haas & Lois Norris, and a Son-in-Law: Marvin Goff.

Services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, 11 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Woodland. Pastor Karl Brenner will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery in Woodland. Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Monday, March 17, 2008, at the church and one hour before services on Tuesday, all at the church.
