George “Tom” Ferguson, 58, of Bremen passed away on Monday, March 17, 2008 at Memorial Hospital of South Bend of natural causes. He was born September 30, 1949 in LaPorte, Indiana to George & Leota (Patterson) Ferguson. He has lived in Bremen since 1977.
George married Penny Forsythe on June 4, 1979. She survives.
He attended LaPorte High School, enjoyed R.C. cars, was a big Star Trek fan, and loved his grandkids. He worked for First Television Cable Company, the Citgo station in Bremen and had worked security for many years.
Survivors include his wife Penny Ferguson of Bremen, 1 daughter: Kristina (Rich) Vandiver of Bremen, 3 sons: Jeffrey Ferguson, currently serving in the military overseas, Jason Ferguson of Parma, OH, and Jonathon Ferguson at home, 1 granddaughter: Harlie Vandiver, 2 grandsons: Ben Vandiver, Nathaniel Ferguson, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister.
Visitation will be held 4-8PM Thursday, March 20, 2008 at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen.
Cremation will take place following visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to The Family Readiness Group (FRG) at the Warsaw Armory or to Bremen Community Hospital (specifically towards the purchase of comfortable recliners in patient rooms).
