Cecil S. Gonzales, Sr.

Cecil S. Gonzales, Sr., age 92, of Milford, formerly of Levelland, Texas, passed away Monday, October 10, 2005, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on February 8, 1913, in Rossville, Texas, to Anecleto & Virginia (Silva) Gonzales.

Cecil retired from Land "O" Goshen after 30 years. He was an avid reader and enjoyed National Geographic and Westerns.

On March 21, 1938, he married Magdalena Ybarra. She preceded him in death in 1993.

Survivors include 3 daughters: Minnie (Larry) Kauffman of Goshen, Andy Ybanez and Janie Gonzales both of New Paris, 2 sons: Raymond (Stella) Gonzales of Goshen, Cecil (Sandy) Gonzales, Jr. of New Paris, 20 Grandchildren, 43 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild and 1 sister: Francisca Ybarra of Lytle, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Magdalena, 2 daughters: Lupe Gonzales and Mary Cripe, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

Services will be held 10:00AM Saturday, October 15, 2005, at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford. Father Paul Bueter will officiate. Burial will follow at the Milford Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8PM Friday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford.

His grandsons: Larry Kauffman, Jr., Christopher Kauffman, Antonio Gonzales, Bryan Cripe, Mack Gonzales, and Jo-Jo Gonzales will be his pall bearers.
