Helen J. Woodworth, age 88, passed
away on Saturday March 22, 2008 at Northridge Village in Albion, IN. She was born on August 3, 1919 in Lagrange County to Irvin & Ella (Moseman) Fought.
She married Lloyd F. Woodworth April 4, 1938. He preceded her in death in 1990.
A lifetime resident of Topeka, Helen worked for Wirk Garmet in Ligonier, Drove School Bus for Westview School District, & had served as Eden Township Trustee. She Graduated from Topeka High School in 1937 & had been a member of Topeka Mennonite Church since 1938.
Survivors include 4 Sons: Jerry (Ann) Woodwoth of Topeka, Gene (Dianne) Woodworth of Waterloo, Mark (Jan) Woodworth of Wawaka, & Todd (Diane) Woodworth of Middlebury. 1 Daughter: JoElla (Jerry) Hunter of Toledo. 17 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren, 4 Step Grandchildren, 7 Step Great- Granchildren, & 1 Step Great-Great- Grandchild. 5 Sisters: Imogene (Clayton) Preston of Ligonier, Kate Preston, Joann Keplinger, Jane (Dean) Ulrey, & Jan Keenan, all of Lagrange. She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Parents, 1 Infant Brother, & 2 Sisters: Ilah Donaldson & Phyllis Myers.
Services will be held on Wednesay, March 26, 2008, at 10:00 AM, at Topeka Mennonite Church- 206 East Lake Street, Topeka, IN. Pastor Robert Martz will officiate. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Topeka. Friends may call from 3-8 PM on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at the Church.
