Terry Allen Mccarty

Terry Allen McCarty, age 57, of Lake Wawasee, Syracuse, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2005, at the Veterans' Hospital in Marion, Indiana. He was born on December 18, 1947, in Peru, Indiana, to Edwin P. & Ann (Spiegel) McCarty.

David was a retired deputy jailer for the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department and also patrolled Lake Wawasee. He graduated from Broad Ripple High School. He was also a U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran; a member of the Syracuse V.F.W., North Webster American Legion, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans (D.A.V.).

Survivors include his father: Edwin P. McCarty of Syracuse, a son: Patrick McCarty of Syracuse. 3 grandchildren: Rylan, Mick and Ashlyn McCarty. 2 sisters: Kim Moors of Evansville, Indiana, and Patty McCarty of Bloomington, Indiana. 2 brothers: Pat McCarty of Indianapolis, and Kevin McCarty, of Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his mother.
