Mark Anderson Galloway

Mark Anderson Galloway, age 84, of Cromwell, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2005, at his residence. He was born on January 11, 1921, in Angola, Indiana, to Orda and Bellva (Lung) Galloway.

Mark was the Cromwell Postmaster for 25 years. Prior to that, he worked at Studebaker Corporation in South Bend. He was a member of the Cromwell Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was also a lifetime member of the American Legion in Syracuse (56 years), the National Association of Postmasters, Eagles Lodge in Syracuse, and a lifetime member of the D.A.V. (Disabled American Veterans) in Goshen. As a WWII Army Veteran, he spent 4 years with the 38th Division, 1 year witht he 341 Ord. Depot Company.

On November 30, 1946, he married Norma E. Rennhack. She preceded him in death in 2004.

Survivors include 4 sons: Byron "Barney" (Sally) Galloway, of Marietta Georgia, Kevin Galloway of Cromwell, David (Kathy) Galloway of Syracuse, and Roger Galloway of Glendale, Arizona. 7 Grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife: Norma E. Galloway, 2 brothers: his twin: Tom Galloway and Jim Galloway.

Services will be held 11:00AM Thursday, October 20, 2005, at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse. Sister Elsie Fregeau will officiate. Burial will be with military honors. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8PM on Wednesday, October 19, 2005, and 1 hour prior to services on Thursday at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Syracuse.

Memorials may be given to Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church, 111 W. Orange Street, Cromwell, IN 46732.
