Welcome Wagley

Welcome Wagley, age 92, of Niles, Michigan, formerly of Bremen, Indiana, passed away Monday, October 17, 2005, at the Cass County Medical Care Facility in Cassopolis, Michigan. He was born September 25, 1913, in Bremen, Indiana, to Benjamin & Grace (Stump) Wagley.

Welcome was a Transportation Executive V.P. for Russom Transfer Corporation in Niles. He attended Bremen schools, was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Masonic Lodge in Mishawaka. He was listed in the Who's Who in the Midwest.

He was married to Laura Marie Whittaker. She preceded him in death on April 26, 1998.

Survivors include 3 sons: Larry (Charlotte) of Elkhart, Indiana, Kennth (Valerie) of Salida, Colorado, and Jim (Joanne) Wagley of Niles, Michigan. 1 brother: Russell Wagley of Bremen, 6 grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Laura Marie Wagley, a grandson, Ronald Wagley and brothers: Harold Wagley and Forest & Ernest Leeper.

Services will be held 11:00AM (Indiana time) on Friday, October 21, 2005, at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen, Indiana. Burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8PM (Indiana time) on Thursday, October 20, 2005, and 1 hour prior to services on Friday at Mishler Funeral Home.
