Eli S. Kauffman

Eli S. Kauffman, 76, of Peoria, Arizona, passed away on March 30, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on November 4, 1931, in Amboy, IN, to Samuel and Fannie Kauffman.

He married Virginia (Gilbert) Kauffman.

A resident of Peoria, Arizona, he came from Syracuse and was a truck driver for over 40 years and a security officer the last 8 years. He attended The Door, Christian Fellowship in Glendale, Arizona. Eli served his country during the Korean War in the Army.

Survivors include his wife, 5 Sons: Donald, Denny and Bob Kauffman, Christopher and Jason Martindale, 7 Daughters: Julie Anne Dorrier, Elizabeth Morgan, Debra Schisler, Mary Martindale, Susan Warkentin, Cynthia Clark, Carol Hernandez, 34 Grandchildren and 25 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers: Harley and David Kauffman, 7 other siblings, 1 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2008, at 12:00 Noon, at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse. Pastor Patrick Blevins will officiate. Burial will take place at Syracuse Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00AM-12:00 Noon, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
