BREMEN - Loren Leroy Yoder, 86, passed away Wednesday, April 16th, in hospice care in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Loren was born on July 1st, 1921, to the late Henry and Bessie (Dulabaum) Yoder of Hartville, Ohio. Loren was a World War II Army veteran, and served in the Philippines.
On June 6, 1943 he married Clara Hannah Fausnight. Loren was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Yoder, and a grandson, Shawn Hardy. Survivors include his wife Clara Yoder, of Davie Florida, 5 sons and 3 daughters, Dennis (Val) Yoder of Bremen, Indiana, Gail (Keith) Hardy of Bremen, Indiana, Ed (Naomi) Yoder of Pierson, Florida, Bonnie (David) Knowles of Cooper City, Florida, Shirley (Kenny) Miller of Bremen, Indiana, Timothy (Laurie) Yoder of Sunrise, Florida, Mark (Glenda) Yoder of Weston, Florida, and David (Jane) Yoder of Bremen, Indiana. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Loren loved his family and was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He lived in the Warsaw and Bremen area from 1960 to 1968. Loren volunteered many hours of his time to World Missionary Press, and worked at the Free Methodist Publishing Company in Winona Lake and at Town and Country Printing in Plymouth. He also built the Bremen Mobile Home Park in Bremen.
Loren loved his Lord and Savior and served him faithfully all his life. He was a member of the Encouragers Class of the New Life Baptist Church in Davie, Florida.
Services will be held on Sunday, April 20, 2008, at 2:00PM at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Pastor Marvin Engbrecht will officiate. Burial will be Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 3-7PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to World Missionary Press in New Paris, Indiana.
