Eugene V. Henning

Eugene V. Henning, 82, of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2008, at Goshen General Hospital. He was born on June 9, 1925, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Ferdinand & Olive (Waldo) Henning.

On November 8, 1947, he married Maryrose S. Seiffert. She preceded him in death on March 6, 2002.

An area resident since the late 1940s, he came from California after serving in the Navy during WWII. Eugene was a self-employed flooring contractor, a Member of the American Legion Post 223 in Syracuse and a Member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church.

Survivors include 2 Daughters: Mrs. Jeff (Susan) Corn of North Webster, Mrs. Bryan (Julie) Napier of Syracuse, 3 Sons: Michael (Alice) Henning of Bremen, Timothy K. (Idell) Henning of Kentwood, MI, Christopher A. Henning of Fort Collins, CO, 12 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, 2 Sisters: Patricia Jones of Lexington, KY and Natalie (Don) Riley of Palm Desert, CA, 1 Brother: Robert (Ellyn) Henning of Las Vegas, NV

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at 10:30AM at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 6941 East Waco Drive, Syracuse. Father Richard Hire will officiate. Burial will take place at McClintic Cemetery in Syracuse, with Military Honors by the American Legion Post 223. Friends may call on Monday, April 21, from 2-4 & 6-8PM at the Funeral Home with a Rosary Service at 7:45PM.
