Ruth May Eastlund

Ruth May Eastlund, 90, of North Webster passed away Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born May 15, 1918 in Walkerton, Indiana to Albert R. and Nancy Z. (Masterman) Barden.

Ruth lived in Nappanee most of her life, then moved to Syracuse in 1986 and North Webster in 2001. She retired as Secretary for WaNee Community Schools, and previously assisted with various duties at Eastlund Funeral Homes until 2001.
She attended Wawasee Lakeside Chapel and was a member of Nappanee Church of the Brethren.

Survivors include 1 daughter: Sharon Gray of Lafayette; 2 sons: Gary (Linda) Eastlund of Leesburg and Marvin (Phyllis) Eastlund of Fort Wayne. 9 Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren, and 20 Great Grandchildren. 1 Sister: Elaine Burroughs of Plymouth, IN, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 1 brother and 1 sister.

Services will be Thursday, June 19, 2008, 11:00 AM at Wawasee Lakeside Chapel with Pastors Harlan Steffen and Brad Cox officiating. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery, Mock Addition.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 18 from 4-8 PM at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, and 1 hour prior to service at the church on Thursday.
