Eleanor Louise Moore

Eleanor Louise (Alman) Moore, 74, of Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. She was born on February 16, 1934, in Kalamazoo, MI, to John A. & E. Aileen (McCarty) Alman.

She was married to John W. Moore, Jr., who preceded her in death.

Eleanor was a Syracuse resident since 1971, having relocated from Elwood. She was an Insurance Agent for 30 years including Cotton & Cotton Insurance and most recently Northern Lakes Insurance. She was a Member of the North Webster United Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society, the Ladies Bridge Club and the South Shore Ladies Golf League.

Survivors include 2 Daughters: Denise (Vince) Rhodes of North Webster, Diana (Barry) Peterson of Fort Wayne, 3 Sons: Scott (Nancy) Moore of Cleveland, OH, Gregg Moore (Bill Miles) of Jacksonville, FL, Howard J. (Sandy) Moore of North Webster, 13 Grandchildren: Katie Lyle and Kelly Ray Moore, Aubrey Denae, Kayla Marie and Austin Kyler Rhodes; Benjamin Ryan, Jacob Daniel, and Gabriel Aaron Moore; Kara Elizabeth, Hannah Shaw, Zachary Adam, Isaiah Lyle, and Evan Joseph Peterson, 1 Sister: Helen (Jay) Brown, 1 Brother: Paul (Ann) Alman, 1 Sister in Law: Marilyn Alman. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 Brother: William H. Alman and 1 Nephew: Jay Brown.

Services will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2008, at 10:00AM at North Webster United Methodist Church. Pastor Scott Mann will officiate. Burial will take place at the Syracuse Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8PM on Friday, June 20, 2008, at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse.
