James R. Fennessy

James R. Fennessy, age 62, of Syracuse, formerly of Ft. Wayne, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2005. He was born on May 14, 1943, in Chicago, to Raymond and Annette (YsKis) Fennessy.

James was with the Chicago Police Department from 1964-1979, working securityfor Mayor Richard Daley and Mayor Bilandic, then promoted to Sargeant. Owner and Operator of Saylor's Pizza in Ft. Wayne until 1989, and most recently worked for Silgan Plastics in Ligonier. He was with the U.S. Army Military Police in Germany during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include 1 daughter: Jill Fennessy of Buchanan, Michigan, 1 son: James Fennessy II of Syracuse. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, December 3, 2005, at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse. Pastor Gary Jones will officiate. Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan, Michigan. Friends may call 2 hours prior to service.
