Maynard Hancock

August 17, 1951 — December 2, 2005

Maynard Hancock, age 54, of North Webster, passed away at his home on Friday, December 2, 2005. He was born in Defiance, Ohio, on August 17, 1951, to Simon Dale and Catherine (Sprow) Hancock.

Maynard moved to North Webster 14 years ago and, prior to that, lived in various parts of Indiana. He was a machine operator for DANA Spicer Axle in Syracuse. He has been with DANA for 25+ years. He graduated from Tinora High School in Tinora, Ohio. He was a member of the UAW Local 1405 and enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He was also a member of the NRA.

Survivors include 2 sons: Travis (Jamie) Hancock of Columbia City and Daniel Hancock of North Webster, 2 daughters: Tiffany Hancock of West Middlesex, Pennsylvania and Heather Hancock of Sharon, Pennsylvania. His brothers: Kenneth and Huber of Defiance, Ohio, Harold of Ossco, Michigan, Ronald Hancock of Defiance and a stepbrother: Steve Steffeld of Fishers, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, Dorothy (Hiler) Steffeld-Hancock.

Services will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at 6:00PM at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Syracuse, Indiana. Friends may call 3 hours prior to services, from 3:00-6:00PM at the Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given to Toys for Tots or the Kosciusko County; Humane Society.
