Jane Redmond

Jane Baumgartner Redmond, 60, of Indianapolis, passed away in her sleep Monday July 28, 2008. Surrounded by family, her struggle with breast cancer ended peacefully as she overlooked Lake Wawasee.

Born to Arch and Della Baumgartner on June 15, 1948, Jane graduated from Milford High School in 1966, attended Indiana University and received her Masters Degree in Education from Butler. She was an avid bicyclist and loved to ride the Monon Trail.

Jane retired from Acton Elementary (Franklin Township) in January of this year. She taught special education.

Jane Redmond is survived by her husband, Ralph Redmond; her mother, Della Baumgartner; her brother, Ron Baumgartner; her son, Jason Yoder; and her grandson, Elias Craig Yoder. Her youngest son, Craig Yoder, died May 14, 2006.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, August 1st at 10:00 am at the Meridian Street United Methodist Church. Family and friends will gather on Thursday, July 31st from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel.
