Lindy Faye Somers, 64, of Bremen passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Bremen Health Care Center. She was born August 21, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri to Ryan and Mae (Clements) Coleman.
This woman was the strongest person we have ever known. The countless times the doctors told her she didn't have long to live, but yet she kept fighting and proving them wrong until the very end. She changed the lives of many by her kind heart, unique and stubborn personality. She was a happy, loving person who was loved by many; often others would consider her their grandma or mom. For some she was a hero, best friend, and best grandma they could have ever had. We will cherish all of the great times however small or big we had together. She will always hold a huge spot in our hearts and be missed every day. She is now up in heaven living in paradise watching over all for whom she loved. As she would tell her grandkids “I love you more than gold and Diamonds”
Lindy will be greatly missed by her daughter, Angela Heitzman of Plymouth; a son, Christopher Somers of Arizona; three grandchildren, Michael Sills of Texas, Lindy Somers of Arizona, and Amber Heitzman of Georgia; and one great-grandchild, Samantha Sills of Texas.
She is also survived by two brothers, Amos and John Coleman and a sister, Brenda (Butch) Peterson. Lindy was preceded in death by son, Michael, both parents and brother, Lloyd Coleman.
Private services for Lindy will be held at a later date.
