Edward Ray Chupp, 89, of Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, LaFontaine, IN., formerly of Milford, passed away on August 13, 2008, at 4:58PM. He was born on June 24, 1919, in Emmatown, IN, to Ira J. Chupp & Katie (Stutzman) Chupp.
On November 29, 1961, he married Ardith Marie Johnston.
A lifetime area resident, he lived in the same home in Milford for 80 years. He served his Country in the United States Army in World War II as a medic and he retired as a machinist for Johnson Controls in Goshen. After his retirement, he worked at home, sharpening saws and mower blades. Edward was a member of the North Main Street Mennonite Church of Nappanee where he was a Sunday School Teacher. Edward also enjoyed traveling the country.
Survivors include 2 Brothers: Levi Chupp of Milford, Ira Chupp of Sarasota, FL, 1 Sister: Rosetta Miller of Milford and he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters and 1 brother.
Services will be held on Monday, August 18, 2008, at 11:00AM, at the North Main Street Mennonite Church of Nappanee, 504 N. Main St., with Pastor Bob Gerber officiating. Burial will be in the Milford Cemetery, immediately following the service. Friends may call from 9-11AM prior to services at the church on Monday.
