Jim C. Farrer, 86, of Bremen, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at his residence. He was born June 21, 1922 in Bremen to Tom & Minnie (Stillson) Farrer and was a lifetime area resident.

On September 18, 1943 Pauline Hahn. She preceded him in death on March 6, 2007.

Jim was a retired truck driver, a US Army WWII Veteran, 2 time past commander of Bremen VFW and American Legion. He was a Disabled American Veteran, and retired member of the Bremen Fire Department.

Survivors include 1 daughter: Jamie Bonee of Bremen, 2 sons: Kent (Barbara) Farrer of Wyatt and Randy (Rhea) Farrer of Cassopolis, MI, 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, 4 brothers: Tom of Bremen, Dean of Bremen, Pat of Bremen, and Don of Dunlap.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother Jerry

Funeral service will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at the Bremen Cemetery Chapel and will be officiated by Pastor Chuck Krieg. Service will include a military rites. Burial will take place at the Bremen Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10AM until time of service on Tuesday and the Bremen Cemetery Chapel.
Memorials may be made to the Bremen Volunteer Fire Department, Bremen VFW, or Hospice of Marshall County.

Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen is assisting the family with arrangments.
