Tom Gunterman, 76, of Bremen, passed away on September 16, 2008, at Bloomington Hospital. He was born on November 25, 1931, in Bremen, to Joseph A. & Nellie O. (Haenes) Gunterman.
He married Joanie Miller on February 21, 1953. She survives.
A lifetime area resident, Tom was the Founder and owner of Bremen Insulated Wire. He graduated from Lakeville High School in 1950. He was a veteran of the US Army and a Member of First United Church of Christ in Bremen, Bremen American Legion Post #191, former Bremen Police Commissioner, former Bremen School Board Member.
Survivors include His wife Joanie Gunterman of Bremen, 2 daughters: LuAnn (Robert) Kolbe of Bremen, Amy Gunterman of Indianapolis, 1 son: Kelly (Joan) Gunterman of Vermont, 4 grandchildren: Tom (Antoinette) Kolbe of Tampa, Grant Kolbe of Bremen, Brynne (Jim) Scollon of Mishawaka, Ashley Kolbe of Bremen, 1 great-grandchild: Donovan Kolbe of Tampa. He was preceded in death by: 3 sisters: Virginia Drudge, Lottie Watkins, Julaine Keck, 1 grandson: Mitchell Kolbe.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 20, 2008,
at First United Church of Christ in Bremen. Pastor Ron Liechty will officiate. Burial will take place at Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 – 8 PM on Friday, September 19, 2008, at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bremen Community Hospital or American Heart Association.
