Harry Leroy Hendricks, 80, of Ligonier and previously of North Webster passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born June 20, 1928 in Anderson, Indiana to Herman A. & Eva May (Sturdevant) Hendricks. On September 16, 1950, he married Norma Parisi, she survives.
Harry was an area resident since 1970 coming from Muncie, was an independent contractor, and attended the Dewart Lake Friends Church. He was also an Army veteran serving in the Korean conflict, a member and past commander of the North Webster American Legion, Post 253, and a member of the VFW.
Other survivors include a daughter: Mrs. David (Christine) Griffith of Ligonier; a son: Rodney Hendricks of North Webster; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a sister: Mrs. James (Norma) Snyder of Nashville, Tennessee; and 3 brothers: Billie Hendricks of Anderson, Myron Hendricks of Alexandria, and David Hendricks of Alabama. He was preceded in death by a brother: Joseph.
Graveside services will be Friday, September 26, 2008, 1:00 PM at North Webster Cemetery, Mock Addition with Pastor Keith Huffman officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by members of the North Webster American Legion.
Visitation will be Friday from 11 AM till time of service at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse.
Memorial may be given to the Alzheimers Association.
