Irvin Hawkins

Irvin Hawkins, 69, of Syracuse, passed away at IU Hospital in Indianapolis on September 24, 2008. He was born on November 21, 1938, in York, Pennsylvania, to Earl & Barbara Mac (Blyer) Hawkins.

He marreid Charlotte Moreen on September 7, 1986; she survives.

Irvin was a retired truck driver; pulling motor homes for Quality Driveway in Goshen. He attended Grace Bible Baptist Church in New Paris, was a member of the North Manchester Moose Lodge and the Syracuse Bowling League.

Survivors include his wife, 2 sons: Mel (Donna) Hawkins of Nappanee, Kristopher Hawkins of Syracuse, 2 Granddaughters: Leslie (Zack) Elliott) of Cromwell and Allison Hawkins of Argos, 1 Great-Granddaughter: Hazel Elliott, 1 Brother: Earl Hawkins, Jr., of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008, at 1:00PM, at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford. Pastor Daniel Haifley will officiate. Burial will take place at Milford Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8PM on Friday, September 26, 2008, at from 11:00AM until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
