Maxine L. Kares

Maxine L. Kares, 92, of Bremen passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at the Bremen Health Care Center. She was born January 8, 1916 in Marshall County to Walter & Viola (Shafer) Kline. She married Horace “Shorty” Kares on March 21, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1982. Maxine graduated from Bremen High School and worked for Borneman Products for 37 years. She also attended Bremen Missionary Church. Survivors include 1 son: Richard (Ardith) Kares of Bremen, 3 granddaughters: Traci (Jay) Stoneburner of Bremen, Sherry (Tom) Chang of Bremen, Melody (Jim) Kiefer of East Lansing, MI, 5 great-granddaughters: Jaymi Stoneburner, Libby Chang, Chelsey Chang all of Bremen, Meredith & Diedre Kiefer of East Lansing, MI, 1 sister: Joan L Yoder of Bremen. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 son: Ronnie Kares. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen. Final disposition will take place at the Bremen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8PM on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen.  Memorials may be made to the Community Hospital of Bremen.
