Robert B. Kolbe, 79, of Bremen, passed away on November 6, 2008, of Leukemia at Community Hospital of Bremen. He was born on May 15, 1929, in Clearfield, PA, to Edgar & Beulah (Lingle) Kolbe.
He married Catherine Ogden on August 6, 1952 She preceded him in death on October 15, 1995 . He then married Jayne Marlene Huppert on February 27, 1999. She survives.
Robert moved to Bremen in 1967 from Libertyville, IL. He was a Retired production manager at Stauffer Chemical/United Foam, retiring after over 30 years. He then worked for Ristance for 10 years. Robert attended Penn State University and was an avid fan of Penn State Football. He was a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard, US Air Force, veteran of the Korean War. He was a Member Salem United Methodist Church in Bremen, Bremen VFW Post 8972, Masonic Lodge #414 in Bremen, Past Worthy Patron of Eastern Star, past president of Bremen Kiwanis, past president of Community Hospital of Bremen Board, Civilian Conservation Corps that helped to build Parker Dam State Park in PA.

(LuAnn) Kolbe of Bremen, David (Kathy) Kolbe of Warsaw, 2 step-sons: Michael (Beth) Huppert of Bremen, Dean Huppert of Mishawaka, 1 brother: Ted (Ethel) Kolbe of Philipsburg, PA, 3 sisters: Patricia (Russ) Watrous of Land O’ Lakes, FL, Barbara (William) Leonard of Lansdale, PA, Shirley Bowers of Clearfield, PA
14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his Parents, first wife Catherine, 2 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, on Monday, November 10, 2008, at Salem United Methodist Church, 302 W. Plymouth St., Bremen. Pastor Kevin Miller will officiate. Burial will take place at Bremen Cemetery with a Military Graveside Service. Friends may call from 2 – 6PM on Sunday, November 9, 2008, and 1 hour before service on Monday at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen. Masonic Service begin at 6:00PM
