Phyllis J. Gardner

Phyllis J. Gardner, 76, of Syracuse passed away Friday, November 21, 2008 at Millers Merry Manor in Syracuse. She was born July 22, 1932 in Kingsbury, Indiana to Stanley and Elizabeth (Coil) Rudolph.

Phyllis was a Syracuse resident for many years, was a homemaker, and retired in 1994 from N.I.A. in Nappanee. She was a member of St. Martin dePorres Catholic Church in Syracuse.

Surviving are 3 daughters: Deborah Avery of Milford; Donna Mast of New Paris; and Susan (Kevin) Ferrier of Syracuse. 4 sons: James (Connie) Rudolph of Hanna, IN; Bernard (Patty) Gardner of New Paris; Harland (Janet) Gardner of Millersburg; and John Gardner of Syracuse. Many Grand and Great Grandchildren. 3 Brothers: Ronald Rudolph of Valparaiso; Donald Rudolph of Kouts, Indiana; and Richard Rudolph of LaPorte, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son: Robert Gardner, 2 grandchildren, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.

Services will be Monday, November 24, 2008, 10:00 AM at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse with Fr.Richard Hire officiating. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Milford.

Visitation will be on Sunday, November 23 from 2-6 PM at the Funeral Home with a Rosary service at 5:30 PM.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or Care at Home/Hospice Program of Goshen General Hospital.
