Gloria Kay Baumgartner

Gloria Kay Baumgartner, 63, of Syracuse, passed away of Ovarian Cancer on November 23, 2008, at her residence. She was born on February 15, 1945, in Warsaw, to Roman & Sarah (Gerber) Slabaugh.

On August 21, 1965, she married Ronald Baumgartner. He survives.

From 1966-1993, Gloria lived in Milford; they moved to Syracuse in 1993. She was the Business Manager for The Papers, Inc. She attended Wawasee Community Bible Church, Milford Columbia Reading Circle, Kosciusko County Community Foundation, and was a 1963 graduate of Milford High School.

Survivors include her Husband: Ronald Baumgartner of Syracuse, 2 Daughters: Christine (Jeremy) Corson of Warsaw and Jennifer Baumgartner of Syracuse, her Mother: Sarah Slabaugh of Milford, 3 Sisters: Delores (Donald) Boyd of Sebring, FL, Shirley Graff of Ft. Wayne, Patricia (John) Yeater of Chandler, Arizona, 1 Granddaughter: Claire Corson of Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her Father and Brother: Larry Slabaugh.

Services will be held on Friday, November 28, 2008, at 10:30AM at Wawasee Community Bible Church, 2035 E 1300 N., Milford. Pastor Tom Speicher will officiate. Burial will take place at the Milford Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8PM Wednesday, November 26, at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care in Elkhart or the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
