Esther Roth

Esther Marie (Thacker) Roth, 84, of Warsaw, formerly of Bourbon and Nappanee, passed away date on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at the Warsaw Meadows Care Center in Warsaw. She was born on September 9, 1924 in Kosciusko County to Oliver & Edith (Haney) Huff. She was married to Howard Roth of Lockport, NY. He survives. Esther did office work in the Bourbon area and was the owner of Esther’s Ceramics in Bourbon. She was a former member of Bourbon American Legion Women’s Aux., Plymouth Moose Lodge, Rebekah Lodge of Bourbon, she enjoyed golfing, dancing, playing euchre and get-togethers. She wintered in Naples, Florida.

Survivors include Husband Howard Roth of New York, 2 Daughters: Gloria (Jack) Miller of Pierceton and Julie (Jay) Kling of Bremen, 3 Stepchildren of New York, 5 Grandchildren: Bethanne (Ben) Cass of Stevenson Ranch, CA, Lisa (Barry) Lang of Rhinebeck, NY, Lynn (Tom) Van Ness of Palm Bay, FL, Robert (Heather) Kling of Bremen and Dawn (Aaron) Budny of South Bend, 10 Great-grandchildren, 3 Great-great-grandchildren, 2 Sisters: Margaret Chandler of Elkhart, Martha (Lee Roy) Love of Nappanee, 3 Brothers: Russell (Mildred) Huff, DeVoe (Phyllis) Huff, & Stanley Huff, all of Nappanee. She was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Wayne Huff & Lloyd Huff and 2 infant Sisters.

Service time will be 10:00 AM on Monday. December 29, 2008 at the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen and will be officiated by Pastor Gary Hinkle. Burial will be at the Bremen Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 - 4 & 6 – 8 PM on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the funeral home.
