John G. Crumb

John G. Crumb, North Webster, passed away at 12:15PM on Friday, January 16, 2009, at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw.

He was born May 8, 1920 to the late Claude and Ada (Rasor) Crumb. On November 19, 1941 John married Doris Fenner who preceded him in August 2006.

Before moving to North Webster in 2006, John touched many people in the communities of Flushing ,MI, Ann Arbor, MI, Marion, IN and Panama, New York.

A 1936 graduate of Lakewood High school in New York. John attended Wheaton Collge in Illinois then received his Diploma from Baptist Bible Seminary, Johnson City, New York. John was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving in the 4th Infantry Division during WW2. His service after the war was in the Pentagon serving under General Eisenhower. He was a Minister for 8 and a half years at Beecher Baptist Church in Flint, MI and retired for General Motors. John was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Pierceton and a past member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Jamestown, New York.

John is survived by 2 sons: John (Eli) Crumb-Ralyea, Chicago, IL, Chuck (Nicola) Crumb of Leroy, MI, 2 Daughters: Mary (Ron) Erb, North Webter, IN and Sharon Alholts, North Webster, IN. Also surviving are 19 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, 1 sister Emily Smith , Xenia, OH. He was preceded by his parents, his wife,Doris Crumb, 4 Sisters, Francis Crumb, Marion Goodrich, Clara DeRosset, Alsice Crumb, 1 Btothe, David Crumb amd an infant son Charles David Crumb

Funeal Services will be on Monday, January 19, 2009 at 4 PM at Bethel Baptist Church , 1109 West Market Street, Pierceton, IN 46562 with Pastor Jim Baughman officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM on Monday at the Church.

A graveside service will be held at 2PM at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc, MI on Tuesday, January 20, 2009.

Memorial contributions may be given to Bethel Baptist Church, Pierceton, or Baptist Mid-Missions.

Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel assisted the family with arrangements
