Roger R. Patterson

Roger R. Patterson, 63, of Bremen, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Community Hospital of Bremen. He was born on February 10, 1945 in Marshall County to D. Del & Ruby (Swartzel) Patterson. He married Janice (Baker) Moren on December 21, 1985. She survives.

Roger graduated from Bourbon High School in 1963. He was a Veteran of the US Army, serving a tour of duty in Vietnam. He worked 33 years at Bendix/Honeywell in South Bend, was a carpenter, electrician and a super mechanic. He was a man of many talents. He enjoyed hunting and gardening.

Survivors include wife: Janice Patterson of Bremen, 1 son: William (fiancé Sarah Bailey) Patterson of Bremen, 1 stepson: Richard (Lisa) Moren of Bremen
2 step daughters: Susan (Jason) Bass of Shelbyville, Dena Baker
4 step-granddaughters: Zoe, Abbi, McKenzie, Sydney, 2 brothers: William (Pat) Patterson of Mishswaka, Robert “Bob” (Leslie) Patterson of Largo, 4 sisters: Marilyn Klann of New Buffalo, MI, Eleanor (Ed) Gammill of South Bend, Twin sister Rita (Charles) Hyde of Etna Green, Carol Bennett of Bremen, 1 sister-in-law: Barb Patterson of Bourbon, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters: Joyce Patterson & June Stayton, and 1 brother: John Patterson.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen and will be officiated by Pastor Neil Wonnacott. Burial will take place at the Bremen Cemetery with graveside military honors.

Friends may call from 3 - 8PM on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall County Humane Society.
