Rene' Samonte Smith

Rene' Samonte Smith, age 52, of Cromwell, passed away at her residence on Thursday, February 23, 2006. She was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on September 9, 1953, to James B. Samonte & Phyllis (Terry).

A homemaker, she attended the Shepherd by the Lakes Lutheran Church in Syracuse.

She was married to Ronald K. Smith, who survives.

She is survived by her husband: Ronald of Cromwell, 2 sons: Ryan and Tyler Smith of Cromwell, 1 daughter: Tanya (Rick) Luna of Charlotte, NC, 2 grandsons: Dillon and Austin Luna, Mother and Stepfather: Phyllis and Bruce Harris of Norfolk, VA, Father: James B. Samonte of Manila, Philippines, 3 sisters: Lisa (Bernard) West of Chesapeake, Virginia, Jaime (Michael) Jones and Janel Samonte, both of Virginia Beach, Virginia, 2 brothers: James B. Samonte II and Jimel Samonte, both of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Services will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2006, at 7:00PM at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel in Syracuse. Pastor Jerry Winegarden will officiate. Friends may call from 5-7PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
