Jessie Felts

Jessie Felts, 88, of New Carlisle, formerly of Bremen, passed away at 9:30 pm, Saturday, September 12, 2015 in Hospice House of South Bend. Jessie was one of fourteen children and she was born on March 15, 1927, the daughter of the late Kelly and Pearly (Joseph) Conley. On March 15, 1953 in Knox, IN, she married Eldon W. “Wayne” Felts. He passed away on August 8, 1988. She is survived by her son, Ed (Lynn) Felts of New Carlisle; three granddaughters, Michelle Felts of Ft. Wayne, Lisa Felts of South Bend, and Katie Felts of South Bend; and two great grandchildren, Dylan and Roscoe. Jessie was an accomplished seamstress and worked for Gerber Manufacturing for 35 years as a sewing machine operator. She was an active member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 91 and V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 8972. She will be remembered for her love of gardening and her flowers. The family would like to thank the Center for Hospice and the Hospice House for their kindness and care. Visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00 pm, Thursday, September 17, 2015 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 pm, Thursday, September 17, 2015 in the funeral home with burial to be in Fulton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Center for Hospice Care, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
