Fred Traub

Fred Traub, 98, of Walkerton, formerly of Bremen, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2006, at Miller's Merry Manor in Walkerton. He was born in Milford, Indiana, on February 6, 1908, to Carl & Freda (Bessler) Traub.

A lifetime area resident, Fred retired from Bendix in 1973, after 27 years of service. He also attended the Bremen Bible Church.

On November 21, 1936, he married Barbara D. (Dornes) Traub in Woodland. She preceded him in death in 2001.

Survivors include his son: Dennis (JoAnn) Traub of Walkerton, Indiana. A brother: Ray Traub of South Bend, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Barbara D. Traub, a son: Douglas, brother: William and a sister: Leah Swank.

Services will be held Monday, March 6, 2006, at 2:00PM at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Dr. J. Duane Beals will officiate. Burial will follow at the Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until the service time of 2:00PM on Monday, March 6, 2006, at the funeral home in Bremen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions can be made to the Bremen Bible Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
