Janet Yvonne Weaver

Janet Yvonne Weaver, 81, of Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at the Americare Living Center in Goshen. She was born on February 21, 1925, in Nappanee, Indiana, to Guy and Lorie (Harlan) Farrington.

Moving from Nappanee to Syracuse in 1964, Janet retired from Weatherhead Corp. (Dana Corp.) in 1967. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Syracuse.

On June 13, 1942, she married Oscar Weaver. He surivives.

Survivors include her husband: Oscar Weaver of Syracuse; a daughter: Diana (James) Hawkins of Bremen; and a son: Roger A. (Gail) Weaver of Bremen. 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and her sister: Donnabelle (Robert) Unger, of Elkhart also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers: Charles, Robert, Stanley and Dale Farrington; a sister: Alice Ganger, also preceded Janet in death.

Services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, March 11, 2006, at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse. Rev. Robert Fields will officiate. Burial will follow at the Union Center Cemetery in Nappanee. Friends may call from 2-4PM and 6-8PM on Friday, March 10, 2006, at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Syracuse.
